Mia Rae June is a Brussels-based transfeminine and queer artist from the rural German-speaking part of Belgium. She is currently studying at the École de Photographie et de Techniques Visuelles Agnès Varda.
She works primarily with film photography, creating images that linger on intimacy and absence. Her photographs pay attention to textures, surfaces, and traces of touch.
She often focuses on bodies and gestures, skin and hands, fragile lines and landscapes, exploring the ways memory, queerness, and transformation shape the way we see and feel.
Alonside her personal work, she is a member of CLAP! Collective, a queer post-porn group creating performances and short films that explore sexuality, intimacy and transgender identities.
