Conçue par le Musée de la Ville de Bruxelles, cette promenade historique vous fait découvrir, au départ de la Grand-Place, les quartiers du centre-ville où les homosexuel.le.s ont eu l’habitude de se retrouver aux 19 e et 20 e siècles : galeries Saint-Hubert, rue des bouchers, Bourse, Marché au Charbon. Le parcours, émaillé d’anecdotes, retrace comment ces lieux ont changé et évolué avec la société. Célébrant un Bruxelles riche de diversité, il se termine à la RainbowHouse, lieu d’accueil pour l’ensemble de la communauté LGBTQIAP+.

Deze historische wandeling, georganiseerd door het Museum van de Stad Brussel neemt je vanaf deGrote Markt, mee door de Brusselse wijkenwaar homo's en lesbiennes elkaar in de 19e en 20e eeuwontmoetten: de Koninklijke Sint-Hubertusgalerijen, de Beenhouwersstraat, de Beurs en deKolenmarkt. De route, vol boeiende anekdotes, laat zien hoe deze plaatsen doorheen de tijd zijnveranderd en zich hebben aangepast aan de evolutie van de samenleving. De wandeling eindigt bijde RainbowHouse, een ontmoetingsplaats voor de hele LGBTQIAP+-gemeenschap, en viert zo dediversiteit van Brussel.

Organized by the Brussels City Museum, this historical walk takes you from the Grand Place through the neighborhoods where the gay and lesbian community used to gather in the 19th and 20th centuries: the Galeries Saint-Hubert, Rue des Bouchers, the Bourse, and the Marché au Charbon. Filled with fascinating anecdotes, the tour explores how these places have changed and evolved over time along with society. Celebrating Brussels' rich diversity, the tour ends at the RainbowHouse, a welcoming space for the entire LGBTQIAP+ community.
